Google Trends on How to Search Marketing
To use Google Trends for marketing you could view it as a consumer intent map rather than just a key word tool. Because it shows popularity instead of absolute search volume, it is best used for timing, comparison and geographic.
Identify when to market seasonality:
Many products have predictable cycles. Using Google Trends, you can identify the exact week interest begin to climb and set you time filter of past years to see recurring peaks.
Launch your marketing ad campaigns or publish blog posts 4-6 weeks before the predicted peak to build SEO authority and "mindshare" before the competition spikes.
If competitor's trend is rising while yours is flat, they likely have a viral campaigns or a new product launch. You can then change time filter to past 90 days to see exactly when their momentum started.
Optimize Localized Marketing:
Google Trends allows you to drill down into subregions (States/Provinces) and even metro areas.
Marketing Auction: increase your ad spend in high- interest cities and use local slang or regional references in your copy to improve conversation rates.
Most people only look at " web search" but you can toggle search type.
